I read some reviews stating these shoes were cheap and fell apart easily. Due to the fact it's hard for me to find size 15 and wide I gave them a shot. My first time wearing them I went over 8,000 steps or 3.5 miles and I had no issues with my feet being sore and the shoes look fine. They are very comfortable with the amount of padding they have. I think for the look, ease of getting off and on, and overall comfort they are hard to beat for the price.

My 2nd pair of DEER STAGS. These are definitely not high quality footwear BUT they are inexpensive and definitely VERY comfortable. I purchased them specifically for a European trip which will involve a lot of walking. I wore them to work each day for one week with zero break in time and found them supremely comfortable and very light weight . When I first put them on they seemed a bit snug but relaxed within a few hours. I f I have any negative comments after the 10 day trip I will update this review but very impressed thus far.

IN SHORT: Be prepared for these shoes to fall apart, because they lasted me about 2 months.

DETAILS: I purchased these shoes because I am a vegetarian and am avoiding shoes made from animal products. Unfortunately, every pair of loafers I find seems to fall apart quickly. These shoes were no exception, but whereas most shoes fall apart where the uppers meet the sole, these Deer Stag Everest shoes started falling apart in the stitching connecting the tongue to the rest of the upper shoe.

The problem seems to be the width of the shoes - they're a little more narrow than advertised, and I think my foot is just wide enough to put pressure on the stitching. But there's a general cheapness about them that makes this unsurprising; they don't provide very good support and on any day where I have to do a lot of walking (rather than sitting at my desk), I find these shoes uncomfortable.

Given that they are already falling apart at the seems, I'll be replacing them with another brand. I wish cruelty-free footwear didn't mean comprising in quality or available styles, but it does, sadly.

These are not very comfortable, and the material is aging quickly. Not everyone’s feet are the same, and I do tend to wear shoes out quickly. I was in a rush as I was going out of town, they were inexpensive, and they look and feel it. Not horrible depending on your lifestyle, but I wouldn’t buy them again.
