One side has a magnetic dry erase surface to draw on or play games. The magnetic surface is a great place to play with the magnetic letters and numbers included with this easel. The other side is a black chalk surface. Both sides have a clip hold paper for drawing and painting. Also, the legs come apart, so it can work for younger kids.
