I was looking to get a sliding miter saw after returning a one day old Ridgid non-sliding at my local Lowe’s. They had a deal for a DWS709 (with table) and a DWS779 for $399 so I researched about it but most of the reviews I saw online recommended to step up to a DWS780 which had the features I wanted/needed. However, I didn’t want to pay $599 plus tax.
A quick Google of "DWS780" shows that JB Tools Set is currently selling it for $479.99 so I thought, that was a good price, however, I checked JB’s reviews and it was a mixed bag so I decided to go to Lowe’s online to chat and see if they could price match it.
To make the story short, they gave me a 110% price match so I paid about $431.xx + tax from $599!
