Newegg has the Netgear Orbi RBR50 AC3000 base router only for $152. This normally sells $250ish. You cannot buy 2 of these to form a mesh. You will need a satellite unit either the RBS50 (AC3000) or one of the AC2200 to form a mesh. This is a really good standalone router. If you don’t need a mesh now, you can wait for the individual satellites to go on sale.
The benefit of the AC3000 over the AC2200 is mainly the range, 4×4 backhaul and USB ports.
