Amazon has Lock In: A Novel of the Near Future by John Scalzi for $2.99
I listened to Amber Besson’s narration back in 2016 and it was decent.The novel is written from a perspective that could be male or female. Wil Wheaton did it from the male perspective (he does most of Scalzi’s narration). If you are going to add Narration, you should decide which you want and get the matching audiobook from Audible, rather than adding it to the order. I’m not sure which one it picks.
Lock-In is a Sci-Fi police procedural with a unique premise. Basically a virus goes through the world and a small percentage of people are suffer from "Lock In" where their mind is fully functional, but their body cannot move. This brings about a variety of new industries to deal with the fallout.
Check it out for $2.99, the lowest price it has ever been. I’ve seen it periodically for this price.
