I’ll just go ahead and preempt the snide comments that always come up on pokemon card threads: Yes it is more cost effective to buy individual cards from your local card shop if you are building a deck etc. These are still decent deals ($2.66/pack) for people that want the pins or just enjoy opening booster packs once in a while.
