3 years ago, a lot of us bought the Spark EV. Those leases are up and here is a good replacement option
Several Chevrolet dealers in California are leasing Volts for around $7000 one-pay (this means you have to pay this upfront, but you don’t have to make monthly payments).
It requires two things
1) must own an asian brand car 1999 or newer to qualify for a $2500 "conquest rebate"
2) qualify for GM discount (this is actually optional because some dealers will give you the discount anyways)

After $1500 state rebate and ~$500 utility rebates (available in MOST counties), your final price is about $5000. Or about $138/mo if you want to think of it that way.
If you are low income, you may even qualify for an additional $2000 in rebate from the state: Income Eligibility
Take the leases I am posting here and ask your local dealers to match. Many people have had success doing this. Both in NorCal and SoCal.
I am not 100% sure, but I think the "conquest rebate" ends on Monday 4/2/2018.
ProTip: Try dealerships that have a lot of Volts in stock. Some dealership just do not have Volts to sell, so there is no point in negotiating with them. Any dealerships that have 20+ Volts will be more willing to match.
Also, if you are giving up your Spark EV for a Volt, you get $500 of wear and tear coverage.
