Motherboard usually sells for $130, which after rebate leaves CPU at $145, not bad for i5-8600 which sells for $230 otherwise. By the way it goes up to 4.3GHz on Turbo for one core and runs at 4.1GHz Turbo for all 6 cores. In case you don’t want to spend extra on 8600K and a cooler for it, this might be a good option. You can also sell this MSI motherboard and get some cheaper B360 which will work just fine and essentially save you even more.

It looks like in games i5-8600 has pretty much the same performance as 8600K and i7-8700K for less money, that is before overclock on the latter of course.
