Shopping for the Gizmogadget today I scored a Slickdeal:
Verizon is selling the Gizmogadget for $50 off of retail plus $25 additional savings w/ smartphone purchase (not so fast that’s not the Slickdeal)
For some reason Verizon was unable sell me the Gizmo Gadget without upgrading or adding a line. After establishing with the chat representative that regardless of what restrictions Verizon tried to impose on me, this device was infact unlocked and could be activated on whatever line I wanted it to be on.
Then I went to BestBuy and saw the ridiculous $149 price which is way more than retail suggests if savings at Verizon is only $50 w/ $49.99 sale price, but I digress. Best Buys offer was 149.99 plus $25 gift card.
I went with the blue one, added it to my cart, located the SKU number and began chatting with an agent. The agent was able to validate and honor the price match with the gift card intact. Shipping was free however it won’t be here till the 28th (bummer), the gift card is supposed to be for email delivery. Just over $53 including tax and shipping, $24.99 before tax after you include value of the gift card. Most Price matches are YMMV! I’m going to say the Steelers online only because there were no available stock in my area in store. After confirming the price match the agent sent me a secure link to finish the transaction then tell me check back in when I was finished so that they could go ahead and submit the order with the adjustment intact.
