So i did this. Ecobee 4 is selling for 199$ now. I am from TX, i logged in ecobee rebate site below and generated 50$ instant rebate coupon. This coupon has to be generated either for Lowes or ecobee.com (No BB or Amazon). i used this on lowes to get 199-50$ off. This might be YMMV based on your location. Same can be done for Ecobee 3 lite as well.
