A couple things to note: Make sure you buy a pack of rechargeable batteries, because the controllers die fairly quickly.
The face cover that comes stock with it isn’t the worst, but you’ll probably get some light leaking through. VRCover has some high quality mask replacements that are 100% worth the money and will get rid of this almost altogether (though it can be a bit finnicky to get them just right.)
I know this goes without saying and is basic cable management, but if I messed this up then I’m sure someone else will too: make sure you’re properly wrapping your cables up after use when you’re putting the headset away. I left mine plugged into my computer resting atop the tower and thought that would be enough, but I had some pretty serious cable coiling going on after a few weeks.
It comes with a pair of built in (non-removable, sadly) headphones that are pretty decent quality, but if you have a big head like me then they might end up resting on top of your ears rather than over them. The sound comes through just fine, and you’ll get used to it. They’re pretty stiff as far as adjustment goes unfortunately.
The inside-out tracking is fine. Serviceable in most cases, but I have the most trouble in scenarios where you’re actually putting the controllers close to your HMD rather than out of view. Lining up shots in shooters can be difficult because your rear hand will often just lock up.
