I saw on Home Depot the Rigid JobMax multitool is on sale for $79, normally $99. I would assume a lot of locations have good stock and for me, not logged in, it says free shipping.

Right now this is my go-to multi tool. I previously had the HF multi tool (the "better" one) and I’ve used my dad’s Fein tool. I think he said he paid like $500 for that. I purchased the Rigid from an auction site for $50, so i do NOT get the benefit of free service / parts (I tried registering but they require receipt and they look pretty serious about that … makes sense with lifetime warranty). So, IMO $79 is an awesome price.
There really isn’t anything I don’t like about this. The head you can change to other tools. I haven’t tried them and they may be gimmicky, but I’m debating on getting the reciprocating saw attachment. Maybe the rotary attachment, but I have a dremel and rotozip, so that’s most likely not needed.
BUT! because of the ability to change heads, you can rotate the head in any of 4 positions. This is great ergonomically so you can avoid awkward situations when cutting things
Also, the trigger is variable speed which is great. The grip is a tad smaller at the trigger which is great since I have smaller hands. But, I really really like the variable speed trigger
Finally, the lever to change the blade is great as well. Seems to have a ton of tension, but it’s tool-less and can change blades in a jiffy. The HF needed a screw/washer/allen key. The Rigid changes blades (or blade position) in a fraction of the time.
I used this thing so much after picking it up earlier this summer. I was working on my house which I ended up selling, this this was so much fun to use when compared to the HF.
