My youngest son was reminding me about a game that we used to have on our computer long ago, called Pipe Mania. The game was originally released on DOS, C64, Atari ST, Apple II, NES, SNES, ZX Spectrum, and various others through the years. Some versions were known as "Pipe Dream".
Anyway, the game is pretty simple – you have to build pipes from various pieces so that the "flooz" (sewage) doesn’t spill out all over when it starts to flow. Kind of like in Tetris, you can see the next piece that will be coming and plan a bit.
This is essentially a 20th anniversary release from 2008 that was released on PC, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS and PS Portable. Steam usually has it for 5 bucks, but it is currently on sale for a dollar.
250+ levels across 8 themed locations
5 game modes
discount ends May 3
The game has a very high level of replay value – it’s the sort of fun game you can pick up and enjoy for 15 or 20 minutes while cooking some food, or in between other tasks.
