This is the top-of-the line in Blackmagic’s ATEM Mini switcher line. To the best of my knowledge, it’s the best price that has ever been available from a legitimate reseller in the US.
If you have no idea what this is, you probably don’t need it, but roughly speaking you can think of this box as being like a standalone hardware version of OBS with eight integrated 1080p capture cards.
Unlike the base model Atem Mini or the Mini Pro, this Extreme model can handle 8 HDMI inputs, offers additional keys and Supersource (for layouts with multiple simultaneous inputs), and dual HDMI outputs.
Unlike the base model Atem Mini Extreme, this ISO model can simultaneously record all inputs to an attached SSD drive.
