I finally bit the bullet on getting a Sam’s membership with this deal. The increasing scarcity of online coupons coming with the membership (many of the coupons are now for in-store use only) made me look to pay a little more for the plus membership – especially given the free shipping benefit.
Don’t get suckered into the $100 store credit for $80 add-on during checkout; that is for PopSci store credit, not Sam’s.
Once you check out from PopSci, you immediately get a redemption code. Paste that code into the Sam’s club website (follow PopSci prompts after purchase) to immediately activate your Plus membership.
Make sure to turn off auto renew in your Sam’s Club account afterwards. It’s just a checkbox to uncheck in the "manage membership" section of your account.
