For anyone waiting for the 6800 to drop, AC4L has open box for $2799 which is an authorized dealer so it gets full manufactures warranty.
Some key highlights:
Offers 11 internal/ 13 processing channels,4 independent sub outs, all 11 channels have independent pre amp mode, Audyssey added directional sub setting works like the theory behind Dirac’s DLBC.
Speak of Dirac, it offers upgradability to both Dirac Live and Dirac Live Bass Control and rumored it will get offered ART in the future.
People often say Dirac is better, if so that does not mean Audyssey is bad.
On the contrary, it’s very comparable when used properly especially with everything it offers(ie Editor App,MultiEQ-X,Directional integration).
If you find you do want Dirac, it’s nice to know the option is there to add one or both at anytime(future proof).
TBH their bass management/integration is the key that gives them an edge IMO.
If you want to save a little more and open to refurb, they have it for $100 less, a difference is the warranty(1 Year Denon + 2 Year CPS Free Extension).
