Try to shoot for lower but I think this is a great price. Optics is great and distortion is very well controlled. This is an all in one lens that has all popular range covered, imagine 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, (40mm is almost close to 50mm) at f2.8 all in one lens. Size is compact which is great for traveling, family pictures, street photography and pairs well with a7C cameras.
Personally sold my Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 for this, I don’t usually go at 17mm and it has more noticeable distortion.
I chose this over the 28-75mm G2 since I don’t usually use 50-75mm, If I do then I just walk or crop, or do super35 mode. if you needed wider than 28mm, you’re out of luck.
