Musician’s Friend has the Fender Player Stratocaster Roasted Maple Fingerboard With Fat ’50s Pickups Limited-Edition Electric Guitar in Surf Green or Black for $650, with free shipping and 8% Musician’s Friend Rewards.
Unlike my recent post of the HSS Plus Top model (for $600), these are the traditional SSS configuration with the Fat 50′s pickups, except for the tone controls. Tone 1 controls the neck and middle; tone 2 controls the bridge. The roasted neck should prevent/limit fret sprout in addition to feeling nice.
The Fat 50′s pickups alone (if bought separately) retail for about $270 new.
These are Made in Mexico.
